Piazza dei Martiri, 1, 80079 Procida NA
Procida's sanctuary-church located in the historic center, near Marina Corricella, dedicated to the Madonna delle Grazie Incoronata and a religious landmark on the island.
The Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie Incoronata is located in Procida, centrally located between the historic village and the area leading to Terra Murata, not far from Marina Corricella. It is one of the island's main churches and represents an important spiritual point of reference for the local community.
The origins of the cult date back to a small chapel documented as early as the 16th century, later expanded in subsequent centuries to respond to the growing popular devotion to Our Lady of Grace. The current building retains a simple yet harmonious structure, with architectural elements typical of Campanian island churches and an interior dedicated to prayer and the veneration of the Marian image.
The sanctuary is also linked to the civil and religious history of Procida, located in an area historically important to the island's social life. Today, it continues to be an active place of worship, processions, and religious celebrations, especially during the festivities dedicated to the Madonna.
