The area is characterized by scenic trails, cliffs overlooking the sea, and typical Mediterranean vegetation. The hiking trail leading to the promontory offers spectacular views of the islands of the Gulf of Naples, particularly Capri with its Faraglioni.
In addition to its naturalistic value, Punta Campanella also has significant historical and archaeological significance: according to tradition, an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Minerva once stood here, from which the promontory takes its name.
