Montepertuso

Montepertuso is a small hilltop village located above Positano, in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, nestled among mountains, forests, and cultivated terraces. Its name means "perforated mountain" and derives from a distinctive rock formation with a large natural hole, linked to a popular tradition that tells of a battle between the Madonna and the devil: the rock was "perforated" during the battle, giving rise to the place's name.

The village extends along panoramic slopes overlooking Positano and the sea below, offering spectacular views of the coast and the islands of the Gulf of Salerno. The atmosphere is that of an authentic and quiet village, far from the more intense tourism of the coast, where daily life still follows traditional rhythms.

Montepertuso is also a popular spot for hikers, thanks to the trails that connect the area to Nocelle and the famous Path of the Gods, one of the most famous panoramic treks in Italy. Along the way, you'll encounter natural views, dry stone walls, lemon groves, and vineyards typical of the Amalfi Coast.
